A diverse and engaged community
District 16 lies in Albuquerque’s near Southeast and Northeast Heights. It includes neighborhoods near UNM, Kirtland Air Force Base, Expo New Mexico, and historic Central Avenue from University to San Mateo, including Nob Hill and its many locally owned restaurants and businesses.
Many district neighborhoods and schools are historic, with established parks, mature trees, active neighborhood associations, and housing for people and families at many stages of life. Multi-generational families share the district with authors, musicians, teachers, artists, scientists, public servants, and community advocates.
Key needs include infrastructure maintenance, traffic safety, strong schools, and responsive community policing. Antoinette values hearing directly from constituents about these and other priorities.
